  • Guided tour of Xunantunich Mayan ruins

  • Peer-to-peer exchange with anthropology students from Belizean University

Your students will immerse themselves in Garifuna culture through experiences ranging from drummaking to coconut processing, and learn the way of life and history of this unique Indigenous group. Additionally, students will explore the Xunantunich Mayan ruins, considered to be one of the largest Maya cities ever built, with a Mayan guide. The group will experience ways that several different populations, ethnicities and identities have made Belize what it is today.
