Students will explore Chile’s diverse ecosystems and sustainable development practices, while gaining insight into the nation’s rich cultural heritage, Indigenous traditions, and innovative approaches to environmental conservation across regions from Santiago to Patagonia.

Stretching from the Atacama Desert to the glaciers of Patagonia, Chile offers an extraordinary living laboratory for studying sustainability and environmental management. Students will meet with government officials, private industry leaders, and Indigenous Mapuche communities to explore how different sectors address global sustainability challenges. Through site visits, ecological activities, and cross-cultural exchanges, participants will gain a holistic understanding of Chile’s environmental policies, renewable practices, and the delicate balance between economic growth and conservation.
